About the event

Butterflies are an important part of the ecosystem and are great to have in your garden. Unfortunately, they are in decline across the UK.

In this session, you will find out how you can help butterflies where you live and build your own wooden butterfly house to provide shelter for butterflies throughout the year, including over the winter when some species hibernate.

• Involves the use of hand tools so close adult supervision is required.
• Please purchase a ticket for each box you would like to build. For example, if you would like to build a single box as a family, you only need to purchase one ticket.
• Most suitable for ages 5+.
• Two time slots available: 10:30-11:30am OR 1:30-2:30pm. Pease scroll down this page to select your time slot.
• Please meet us at the Nene Wetlands visitor centre for the start time, please allow plenty of time for parking as it can get busy in the summer holidays.
