About the event

This summer holidays, join our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff on Thursdays to get up close and personal with some of the smaller aquatic inhabitants of the Nene Valley during pond dipping, and then discover what creatures are living on the land too!

  • We'll meet at our Nene Wetlands visitor centre, located on the Boardwalk, before taking a short 5 minute walk to the Education Area (please note there are no toilets in this area so we'd recommend arriving with enough time to use the facilities next to the visitor centre).
  • Suitable for children aged 4+. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during the event.
  • Multiple dates & times available every Thursday - scroll down this page to select which session(s) you'd like to book.
  • Please bring a bottle of water, suncream and a hat. We'd also strongly recommend bug spray!

Are you a member of The Wildlife Trust BCN? Our members get discounts on events, free parking at Summer Leys and more. Join today to get your perks, and to help us fight the rapid declines in wildlife across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. Join here.
