About the event

This is part of an annual programme of family activities throughout the year in Cambourne.

In this session, join Becca Badger, Wildlife Adventurer, for a bug-tastic adventure. We'll start the session unloading the moth trap set the night before; getting up-close to the variety of night-time insects from the Wildlife Trust BCN's Cambourne office wildlife garden. We'll have a go at identifying them, and make a list to submit as an official record of what we find. We will then explore Cambourne Nature Reserve and spend some time with sweep nets looking for invertebrates in the long grass, and maybe lifting a few logs to look for creepy-crawlies who prefer damp and dark!

This session is perfect for families with children aged 5-11, and older siblings will also enjoy it. We will adapt with the group, but since we will be handling live moths, it is not suitable for younger children.
