About the event

This is part of an annual programme of Wild in the Woods family sessions on Wednesdays during school holidays in Cambourne.

In this session, join Becca Badger to investigate which moths live in the wildlife garden of the Wildlife Trust BCN's headquarters. If you wish you can join us the evening before to set out the moth trap (this is a bright light that attracts but doesn't harm moths), this is an optional extra to the activity and details will be sent nearer the time. We'll then meet early morning to open the trap and record what species we find. Depending on how long this takes, we may then go for a walk on Cambourne Nature Reserve.

This session is perfect for families with children aged 5-11, and older siblings will also enjoy it. We will adapt with the group, but since we will be handling live moths, it is not suitable for younger children. Most other Cambourne Wild in the Woods sessions work for a wide age range, and there are Little Bugs sessions available which are more appropriate for pre-school children.
