About the event

This event is intended for young people ages 12-17. We are also running events for families (4-11yrs) and young adults on this day, please head to the individual event pages to book.

Join us to learn all about our Nene Wetlands Beavers and explore the enclosure to see what they’ve been up to.

Please be aware that we will be walking into the beaver enclosure where the ground may be wet and uneven and the vegetation may be long. Therefore a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required and we highly recommend that you wear closed in boots/shoes, long trousers and sleeves and wear insect repellent. This event is intended for teenagers, adults will need to remain on sight (at Rushden Lakes) for the duration of the walk. A copy of the parental consent form will be sent to the purchaser.

The group will be accompanied by Nicole Schreiner (enhanced DBS and First aid trained) and an additional adult. You will be emailed a guardian consent form after booking - please look out for this and make sure to send it back to us before the event.

Please note this event is for the stated group only - further walks for the general public are available on our website.

This event is organised in partnership with the Nene Valley Mammal Youth Group.

The Nene Valley Mammal Group is a new group for young nature enthusiasts to discover and learn about mammals and take action to protect them. Events are organised by a network of Northamptonshire conservation organisations and is part of the Local Group Network of the Mammal Society, Britain’s leading charity devoted to the science-led conservation of mammals.
