About the event

Nature Girls is a group for all women who enjoy nature and the outdoors to meet like-minded people, whilst spending time in nature. We have just started activities in the Cambourne and Cambridge area. No prior knowledge about wildlife is needed for any Nature Girls activities, just an interest  in being outdoors in nature.

Join Communities and Education Officer Rebecca Neal for an informal session taking part in nature journaling. A nature journal is a notebook where you record observations, questions, thoughts, and feelings about nature. You might draw, write, or include numbers. We'll enjoy the Wildlife Trust BCN head-office wildlife garden and Cambourne Nature Reserve, whilst journalling together! Becca is not an experienced journaller, so this is just a basic introduction, and a chance to socialise outdoors together.

After the session, there is the option to head over to a nearby cafe for lunch or a coffee, or we may decide as a group in advance to have a bring-and-share picnic. This is not an official part of the session, (nor is it funded)...just an extra chance to socialise!

These events are aimed at women aged 18+, and we are building on the success of the group founded in Northamptonshire. Find out more on the dedicated page on our website, and join our Nature Girls Facebook group.
