Cambourne Nature Reserve Volunteer Ranger

Cambourne Business Park, Cambourne, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
The purpose of this role is to be the eyes and ears of the Wildlife Trust BCN on Cambourne Nature Reserve, to ensure paths are not overgrown, and litter is reduced. Volunteers will be part of a team who, together, will cover the whole reserve.

Volunteers work independently. They are asked to walk a patch of the reserve on a regular basis and:
- Report back any problems such as fallen trees or vandalism, ideally with a detailed description and photographs and location
- Pick up litter
- Keep paths open by cutting back over-growing vegetation in areas highlighted by staff
- Report any interesting wildlife to the local records centre
Occasionally we may get together with other local residents to do bigger tasks
