About the event

Join us at Summer Leys this October Half Term to learn all about our brilliant birds on the reserve! We'll first head to a hide to do some birdwatching and learn how to identify different species, and you'll then have the opportunity to have a go at a range of bird themed crafts, including learning how to weave a suet feeder using willow.

  • Please note we will be using nuts and seed to create our bird feeders, so this is not suitable for those with nut allergies.
  • We'd recommend this event for ages 7+ but younger ones are welcome to come along if you think they would enjoy it - just bear in mind they may find the willow weaving tricky.
  • We'll be outdoors for some (maybe all) of the session so please wear layers if it's chilly!

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
