About the event

Join us with your toddlers for outdoor, wildlife-inspired fun! Each month we explore a different wildlife theme....everything from making mud pies and pond dipping, through to exploring seashores, earthworms, snails and much more! There are always fun, practical activities to join in with, something to make and take home and not forgetting a story with hot chocolate/juice and biscuits!

Arrival for 9.45am for 10am start. Session ends at 11.00am

Arrival for 1.15pm for 1.30pm start. Session ends at 2.30pm

WINTER: Please wear layers of cosy clothing and bring raincoats, everyone should wear sensible shoes with closed toes and long trousers. Activities will be outdoors as much as possible, so do wrap up! Please wear old clothes.

SUMMER: Please ensure you wear sunhats and suncream as Paxton Pits is an exposed site, everyone should wear sensible shoes with closed toes and long trousers. Activities will be outdoors as much as possible. Please wear old clothes.

Please book a ticket for everyone who is attending. There are two child ticket options, Wildlife Trust BCN member or non-member .

Please be aware the road outside the education centre is used all day by haulage lorries accessing the quarry so please keep children close on the way to and from the car park.

Please be aware all litter/recycling will need to be taken home with you. It is a good idea to bring with you a flask of drink and re-useable bottle pre-filled with water.

Please do not bring anyone to this event who is unwell with Covid. In this instance please contact Debbie as soon as possible on the mobile number 0773 447 8475

Sorry no dogs (except assistant dogs) are allowed in the Environmental Education Area.

What to bring

As there will be lots of activities outside too, please dress for the weather, lots of cozy layers and bring or wear a raincoat. Long trousers and sturdy shoes are essential. Bring refreshments and snacks.
