A group of people set off on canoes on the river Nene

David Joyner

Our collaboration with Northamptonshire company Canoe2 is a unique way to experience and appreciate nature - spot wildlife while gliding the River Nene.

Trips start from Rushden Lakes and include a relaxing self-guided paddle as well as a guided walk around Ditchford Lakes and Meadows  (part of Nene Wetlandswith a Wildlife Trust expert.

Canoe2 will donate 50% of ticket sales from these events to the Wildlife Trust BCN, so every trip helps wildlife!

COVID-19 Update

Our plans for returning to the full range of our face-to-face events programme are based on the Government’s Roadmap published on 22 February 2021. We will continue to review our decisions on a regular basis to ensure that we are doing everything possible to keep our staff, volunteers and visitors safe.

“There can be no better way to enjoy and appreciate the rich and diverse habitat than gently paddling down the River Nene in an open Canadian canoe.”
