About the event

This is the launch of a series of Nature Girl activities in the Cambourne and Cambridge area for all women who enjoy nature and the outdoors to meet like-minded people, whist spending time in nature.

Join Communities and Education Officer Rebecca Neal for the launch of Cambourne and Cambridge are Nature Girls. For this session we will take a sociable walk together on the beautiful Cambourne Nature Reserve. We'll be very flexible, and depending on the interests of the group, we might also spend some time in Cambourne Church Community Garden helping with jobs, or learn some basics about nature journaling. No prior knowledge about wildlife is needed for any Nature Girls activities, just an interest in being outdoors in nature. This is a perfect opportunity to help shape this new group and suggest activities that you would like to see in the future.

After the session, there is the option to head over to a nearby cafe for lunch or a coffee, or we may decide as a group in advance to have a bring-and-share picnic. This is not an official part of the session, (nor is it funded)...just an extra chance to socialise!

These events are aimed at women aged 18+, and the sessions will be building on the success of a group founded in Northamptonshire. Find out more on our Nature Girls Facebook group.
