About the event

Want to learn how to identify birdsong but unsure where to start? Spring is the perfect time to learn, with May and June being the peak season for birdsong, when birds are actively establishing breeding territories and attracting mates.

We'll head on a walk around Summer Leys nature reserve at a steady pace, with a focus on taking mindful moments to enjoy and pick out different birdsong around the reserve. This event is aimed at beginners, so no knowledge of birdsong is needed!

We'll finish at our private Education Area where we will light a kelly kettle, enjoy some hot drinks and take some time to sit peacefully and enjoy the birdsong even further.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
