About the event

Whether you’re a novice thinking of buying your first pair of binoculars or are an experienced wildlife watcher looking to upgrade, buying Optics can be a daunting prospect. With so many different options available, making sense of all the jargon and varying specifications can be a real challenge.

This event will give you the chance to speak to an expert, try a variety of models and find the optics that are perfect for you. Better still, if you make a purchase, the profits will go straight to the Wildlife Trust BCN, helping us to help local wildlife.

On this day we will also have...

Guide in the Hide - Head to the Pioneer Hide to get to know some of the majestic birds on our internationally protected wetland. (FREE, just pop by between 11am-2pm)

Guided Walk - Join us from 10:30am-12:30pm for a guided walk around the reserve. Tickets cost £10 (Non-Members) & £7 (BCN Members) for this. Please book your ticket online using the link below. We will also accept walk ins on the day if there are spaces available. 

Plus, we'll have all our usual drinks and snacks available at the visitor centre, and staff and volunteers on hand to answer any of your questions.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
