About the event

Do you love listening to bird song but wish you could identify which birds you were listening to? Now's your chance to learn!

Join one of our staff members and learn how to identify the most common bird songs you're likely to encounter.

Binoculars will be available to borrow for the duration of the walk, which starts at our Nene Wetlands Visitor Centre at Rushden Lakes Retail Park (5 hours free parking is available at the retail park).

In order to keep everyone safe, please do not attend the walk if you feel at all unwell and, if you start to feel unwell during the walk, please let the walk leader know immediately.

Paths may be slippery and uneven in places so please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing. Most suitable for ages 7+

Places on all events and activities must be booked and paid for in advance, unless otherwise statedYou will receive confirmation of your booking and further information (where applicable) by email.  In the unlikely event that you do not receive these or if you have a query regarding your booking, please contact us.

Places are non-refundable unless the event or activity is cancelled by the Trust. 

The Wildlife Trust Beds, Cambs, Northants reserves the right to cancel an event or activity and, in these circumstances, will offer a full refund.

If you or a member of your household is showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or you have been advised by NHS Test and Trace that you are required to self-isolate, you must not attend the event or activity. We regret that we are unable to offer a refund under these circumstances. Thank you for your understanding at this time.

Applications to transfer to an alternative event or activity will be considered at the Wildlife Trust’s discretion and may result in the place being cancelled without refund if an alternative event or activity cannot be found.  All events and activities will run subject to a minimum number of attendees. The decision as to whether the event or activity goes ahead will be made no later than 48 hours in advance of the event or activity; you are, therefore, strongly advised to book before this time.

In the event that the Wildlife Trust has to cancel an event or activity due to extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and will offer a full refund.”
