Desborough Local Group

The Desborough and District Local Group is formed of Wildlife Trust members local to the area. We support the work of the Wildlife Trust at a local level through running indoor talks and guided walks, and attend local community events.  We also raise funds for local projects.

Our indoor meetings are held at The Heritage Centre, 72 Station Road, Desborough, Kettering, NN14 2RS.

Group description and history

Since its inception, the Desborough and District Local Group has grown into a thriving group with a vibrant membership. Our main objectives are:

  • Running a series of wildlife-themed walks and talks for the enjoyment and interest of local people
  • Engaging local people in the work of the Wildlife Trust
  • Fundraising for local projects

Description of group activities

We run guided walks throughout the spring and summer, and indoor talks in the winter.  We also attend local community events.

How to get involved

For anyone in the area interested in wildlife, this Group is for you.  Everyone is welcome to join in our activities. Please contact us to register your interest.

We’d also love to hear from people interested in getting involved in helping out with the Local Group, from making drinks to sitting on the Committee.

Our events will help link you to the work of the Trust locally, your local wildlife hotspots, and ways to get more involved with the Wildlife Trust.
