Frequency:
WeeklyVoluntary placements within the reserves team, covering multiple reserves in Northampton and across North Northamptonshire. You will gain experience in all aspects of habitat management for conservation, including practical, survey and office-based skills. As well as gaining knowledge and experience from working with the skilled reserves team, you will also get opportunities to work with and lead volunteer groups, participate with in-house training and receive external training and assessment in chainsaw use, brushcutter use and First Aid. Applicants should be reliable and able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week for 12 months, be capable of using power tools and machinery and enjoy physical work outdoors in all weathers. Good team working skills and self-motivation are essential. Some previous experience of practical conservation work would be an advantage but is not essential. Travel expenses and a training budget are available. Please note that we do not accept CVs.

Location
Based at Lings nature reserve but candidates will be required to travel regularly to Old Sulehay nature reserve. Travel to training and work on other sites within the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire will be required on occasion.
