About the event

What happens when bumblebee and honeybee colonies are co-located in the same landscape? To find out, a two-year field experiment was conducted using novel bumblebee colony sensor systems and pollen analysis. Through a collaboration with local beekeepers, pollen from both honeybees and bumblebees was collected to uncover how honeybees and bumblebees share - or not share - pollen from flowers. PhD Candidate Nynke Blömer shares new findings from her research in Cambridgeshire.

This is a hybrid event.  For in-person at the Main Seminar Room, New Museums Site, there is no need to book - please just turn up.
