About the event

Are you aged between 11-17 and eager to participate in conservation efforts whilst making a positive impact to local wildlife? Join our Youth Rangers group, where we offer practical activities and volunteering opportunities for teenagers. These are the perfect way to get experience in conservation whilst meeting like minded people.

We meet every 3rd Saturday of the month, 10:30am-1pm, in Northamptonshire (usually Summer Leys or Nene Wetlands).

For June's session we will be at Summer Leys, learning all about sand martins and resetting their nesting bank. Please meet us at the Summer Leys Visitor Centre for the start time, we will then walk to the sand martin bank which is roughly a 15 minute walk from the centre.

Please email Nicole.Schreiner@wildlifebcn.org for more information and to book your place.

These activities do not require a guardian to accompany, however bookings are not confirmed until we have received your completed paperwork and consent form (for each attendee).

Please bring water and dress appropriately for the weather - we'd recommend wearing suncream and bug spray too. Long sleeves and trousers are recommended as we may be working in areas with brambles.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
