Huntingdon Local Group Partnership Event: A Folk and Blues in the Pews Concert
Event details
About the event
A special event in aid of the BCN Wildlife Trust and St Mary Magdalene Church, 'Folk and Blues in the Pews Concert' will be a special night of live acoustic music in the beautiful setting of the Village Church of St Mary Magdalene, Brampton.
Performing for your listening pleasure will be Jake Morley “Morley is a true original” Acoustic Magazine; “If Jake Morley had a hit, we wouldn't be remotely surprised” The Guardian.
Jake's 2012's debut album “Many Fish to Fry” led to a residency at Ronnie Scott’s, headline tours across the UK, Europe and Canada, airplay across BBC Radio and live performances on national television. Along the way he's had a shred-off with Punch Brothers, swapped late night songs with Michael Kiwanuka and opened shows for They Might be Giants, Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner and Joe Bonamassa.
There will be support from Coppo the Rambler - a huge vocal range combined with honest storytelling songs.
Set against the atmospheric backdrop of the church’s historic interior, this event promises an intimate evening of song, while raising vital funds for local wildlife conservation and the upkeep of the church.
