February Youth Rangers Meet-Up: Nature reserve management
Join us for our February session at Warden Hill in Luton. We’ll be doing scrub management, clearing glades of encroaching scrub and invasive species to help care for this rare chalk grassland habitat.
What to expect:
- Light physical work (all tools and equipment provided)
- Drinks and snacks during the session
- A chance to learn new skills, meet others, and make a difference outdoors
- Fairly steep slopes, and slippery/muddy paths (weather depending). For any enquiries regarding accessibility, please reach out to Ieva.
Meeting point:
We will meet at a car park by Links Way for 10:00 (What3Words://lost.rate.shield) and walk to the bottom of Warden Hill where the scrub work will take place. We will finish the task and return back to the car park for 12:30.
There is a small car park off Links Way, next to the entrance to Galley and Warden Nature Reserve, or on-street parking on Warden Hill Road.
*If this is your first time with Youth Rangers, please contact Ieva (ieva.piraga@wildlifebcn.org) for parental consent forms before booking, and a link will be e-mailed to you.
