About the event

Join us this half term for a spooky and autumn themed edition of Family Bushcraft! You can take part in a range of forest school & bushcraft style activities, learning how to use tools safely to create crafts including making your very own broomstick and magic wand whittling. We'll also teach you the art of fire lighting using a flint and steel, before creating a small campfire which you can enjoy toasting marshmallows over! These activities are fun for all the family and we encourage adults to get involved too.

Due to the nature of these activities, children must be at least 7 years old and supervised by an adult on a 1:1 basis. Additional children over 12 years of age may be permitted to attend at the organisers discretion. Please contact the event organiser to confirm.

Please ensure all attendees wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. As we will be using fire, long hair should be tied back and clothing made from natural fibres i.e. cotton, linen or wool should be worn wherever possible.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
