Young People's Photography Walk at Woodwalton Fen
About the event
Enjoy a guided walk at Woodwalton Fen NNR with members of the Wildlife Trust BCN’s Young People’s Forum. Forum members will provide guidance on using smart phones and cameras to take photos on a nature reserve. The group will also highlight wildlife seen and talk about the opportunities available for young people at the Wildlife Trust BCN.
Woodwalton Fen is one of only four remaining fragments of the ancient wild fens that once stretched for 1,350 square miles across the area and is a last haven for many rare fen species. This beautiful reserve is internationally important for wildlife and provides a refuge for thousands of species of fen animals and plants, many of which are found nowhere else in the country.
This is an activity for young people aged 11 to 25. This session is designed for participants to attend independently. We try to be as inclusive as possible, but this session may not suit every young person, and unfortunately, we cannot provide 1:1 support.
We're delighted to offer this event free of charge, as part of the Peatland Progress project. Our thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Please note: Parents/guardians will be asked to fill out a consent form, for any participants under the age of 18, to include relevant concerns/issues to help us ensure participants get the most out of the session. This will be sent to you once you have registered, along with information about the meeting point etc.
Bookings are not confirmed until we have received your completed paperwork and a consent form (for each child).
- Please refer to our event terms and conditions webpage for details on refunds and cancellations, as well as general information about how we run our events.
- The benefits of joining the Wildlife Trust BCN include a reduced rate for many events. Family membership is from just £5 a month.
- On booking you will receive an email with further guidance but if you have any further questions please do get in touch with Community and Education Officer Laura at laura.allen@wildlifebcn.org.
