About the event

There’s a certain magic about visiting an island, especially if the approach is made by boat. The scenery is often stunning. No two islands are the same and, owing to their relative isolation and unique position, the culture, landscape and wildlife is often unique too.  Local wildlife photographer (and co-author of ‘Fenland Nature’) Simon Stirrup has visited a number of them. In this talk Simon will show us some of his personal highlights from a selection of the islands that he’s visited – some within the UK, some much farther afield.
