About the event
Come and join us for a fun-filled afternoon session! Wild Ed - Primary is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore the outdoors, learn about nature, build confidence, and develop new skills, all within the enclosed Arboretum area of Wardown Park, adjacent to the Museum car park.
Wild Ed – Primary sessions run fortnightly on Thursday afternoons (1:00–2:30pm) for children aged 6–10 years.
Led by our experienced staff, each session explores a new nature-inspired theme through activities such as wildlife identification, bushcraft skills, safe tool use, wildlife gardening and much more. Guided by the changing seasons and linked to the National Curriculum, sessions also include nature crafts, story time, and plenty of outdoor play in this lovely setting.
All of our sessions take place outdoors, with no indoor space available. Please come dressed in suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. A drink and snack will be provided.
Booking is essential and children must be accompanied by an adult. Thanks to generous funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, we are able to offer subsidised pricing of £4.50 per child (+eventbrite fee).
Please note that bookings close 24 hours before the event, and a minimum of four paying children is required for the session to run. If we are unable to run the session, all booking fees will be fully refunded. Sessions may also be cancelled in cases of extreme weather, such as heavy rain or high winds. In this instance, you will be informed by email.
If you have any inquiries regarding the sessions please e-mail ieva.piraga@wildlifebcn.org.
