About the event

We will meet inside the hub for a short presentation about various techniques to help attract wildlife to your garden and add biodiversity, before heading into the Hub garden to see how the Wildlife Trust manage this space for both people and wildlife to enjoy.

It is amazing how simple actions like leaving a little grass long or adding a little water can really support the insects that birds and mammals feed on and also how planting the right species can help bees and butterflies.

We will provide seeds to sow during this session which you can take home to grow on and plant out and we will provide light refreshments 12pm onwards as we invite in local people to celebrate this small, but lovely communal space as we officially rename the garden in memory of the late Dr Trevor Tween, LBC's ecologist for over 30 years
