Event details
About the event
Youth Rangers is a group for secondary-aged young people (11-17 years) keen to make a positive difference to their local environment. We meet throughout the year at various Cambridgeshire nature reserves and would love to welcome you to our group.
Please note:
Bookings are not confirmed until we have received your completed paperwork and consent form (for each child).
Join us for another fantastic session of learning real, practical conservation skills, learning from industry professionals and making a positive impact for wildlife. You do not need any experience to attend. This month we're at The Great Fen. This amazing project is one of the largest restoration projects of its type in Europe. Transforming and restoring the land into lowland peatlands includes lots of different management. We'll be joining the Wildlife Trust's Great Fen reserves teams at New Decoy to manage our willow tree path, how to ID trees and fenland wildlife, and enjoy the sights of winter on the fens. We also get a sneak peak of the new works happening at New Decoy!
Meet at New Decoy carpark ready for the event to start at 10am. What3Words are ///canyons.liner.unopposed.
Refreshments provided (hot drink and snacks).
Please bring water and dress appropriately for the weather - Layers and waterproofs. Long sleeves and trousers recommended. Please wear sensible boots or wellies.
