About the event
This talk will focus on introducing a personal selection of favourite extraordinary and unknown women who have played a role in understanding nature and promoting its conservation; they range from an Egyptian pharaoh and a seventeenth century butterfly expert accused of madness to the pioneers of national parks protection in the UK and the USA in the nineteenth century with many others along the way.
