About the event

Join us for a private screening of the Beaver Trust’s ‘Balancing the Scales’ film. After the film, Ben Casey, Nene Valley Projects Officer, will share updates and videos of the recently released Beavers at Nene Wetlands in Northamptonshire. Find out about the important ecological role of beavers and the impact they are already having.

This is an activity for young people aged 11 to 25 as part of the Wildlife Trust BCN’s Youth Week 2025.

Balancing the Scales is a powerful, visually stunning documentary that captures hope amid environmental uncertainty. Through candid interviews with leading experts, this film unpacks the intricate relationship between beavers and migratory fish – revealing the opportunities beavers create and the unique challenges they introduce in our modern landscapes (Beaver Trust).

The film runs for 28 minutes, and it has a BBFC rating of a U. The trailer is available via the Beaver Trust website.
