About the event

Adventures in Close Up!

Join artist and photographer Graham Fudger at Summer Leys Nature Reserve for a hands-on exploration of photographing all things small. Graham will be demonstrating techniques for using a multi-flash macro studio and single-light soft box rig before inviting participants to try the equipment using their own cameras and lenses. The group will then relocate to the nature reserve in search of the aesthetic wonders present in all things small (subject to favourable weather).

Bringing a digital camera is recommended to get the most out of the practical sessions, and Graham suggests participants also bring a +2 or +4 diopter to fit the front-end filter thread of their preferred lens, along with any small-scale objects they might like to try photographing on set.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges now apply for Summer Leys. Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
