About the event
Enjoy a guided walk at Cambridgeshire’s second largest ancient woodland with members of the Wildlife Trust BCN’s Young People’s Forum. Forum members will provide an introduction to the site at Brampton Wood, highlight wildlife seen and talk about the opportunities available for young people at the Wildlife Trust BCN. With 3400 species recorded at the wood, the focus will be on butterflies including rarer species such as the black hairstreak, white admiral, and purple hairstreak.
Please bring water, snacks and a packed lunch as the group will enjoy a picnic lunch together before heading home.
This is an activity for young people aged 11 to 25. This session is designed for participants to attend independently. We try to be as inclusive as possible, but this session may not suit every young person, and unfortunately, we cannot provide 1:1 support.
We're delighted to offer this event free of charge, as part of the Peatland Progress project. Our thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
