About the event

This walk is part of a series of seasonal strolls on Cambourne Nature Reserve.

Join Communities and Education Officer Rebecca Neal for a sociable gentle stroll through Cambourne Nature Reserve to Bourn Windmill, looking for common wildlife.

We'll walk around 3 miles at a gentle pace and look at common wildlife along the way, discussing tips on identification, and how you can help local wildlife. We'll stop for a short time at the mill where there will be the option of a tour for a small additional charge (paid for on the day).

These walks are aimed at adults, but interested older teenagers are welcome.

Mobility

We aim to make our sessions as accessible as possible and are happy to make reasonable adjustments to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy them. Some paths we will use may be muddy, and we will have to exit the nature reserve through a narrow kissing gate. If you chose to tour the mill, you will need to be able to climb narrow steps and be comfortable in a confined space. Please contact us to discuss your accessibility needs.

What to bring

To avoid bites, stings and scratches, long sleeves and long trousers are suggested for all participants. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting muddy, and sturdy shoes. The event will go ahead even if it rains, so you may require waterproofs.

Parking information
