About the event

Join a member of the Great Fen team for a midweek wander around the beautiful Woodwalton Fen Nature Reserve, one of the oldest reserves in England. Learn about some of the wildlife, heritage and the vision of the Great Fen as you explore one of the trails. 

Your safety is our priority, so all appropriate social distancing and hygiene measures will be implemented.

We regret that the Rothschild bungalow will not be open.

What to bring

Please note, toilets will not be accessible for this event. Please also be aware that there are a large number of ticks and other biting insects at Woodwalton Fen, so long trousers tucked into socks and closed-toe footwear is recommended. An insect repellent is also useful.

It is a good idea to bring with you a re-useable bottle pre-filled with water as we are sorry we will not be able to provide drinks here. Please be aware all litter/recycling will need to be taken home with you

Parking information

Attendees should park at the far end of Chapel Road on the bank of the Great Raveley Drain and meet at the Woodwalton Fen Nature Reserve entrance bridge.
