Feather Code Detective Trail for Families!
About the event
Upon purchasing your family ticket you will receive the 'Feather Code Detective Trail' in an electronic document to follow at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve. One ticket covers the whole family. Join in with us! The trail begins on the Heron Trail at the screen opposite the Environmental Education Centre. Walk the Heron Trail (including down to the Hayden hide) spotting the feather flags along the way. Refer to the map and trail sheet either on your phone or print it out before you leave home! There are also some birdwatching colouring sheets to print or copy and colour too!

What to bring
Print out the trail sheets including the map as children love to follow maps! Alternatively download trail to your phone to access the map and bird pictures. Wear sunblock and sunhats, sturdy shoes, long trousers and sleeves. Bring drinks, snacks and hand sanitiser. Binoculars are great too but only if you have them. You will likely want to leave the colouring sheets at the end of the document at home to do when you return.
