Nene Wetlands - Wildlife Wander
About the event
Join one of our knowledgeable volunteers and explore our biggest Northamptonshire nature reserve, the Nene Wetlands. The walk will include a visit to Wilson's Pits, a stunning area of lakes, meadows and reed beds which is usually inaccessible to the public to protect its sensitive wildlife inhabitants.
Binoculars will be available to borrow for the duration of the walk, which starts at our Nene Wetlands Visitor Centre at Rushden Lakes Retail Park (5 hours free parking is available at the retail park).
To prevent the transmission of Covid-19, the size of the group will be limited to six and all equipment will be sanitised before and after use. In order to keep everyone safe, please do not attend the walk if you feel at all unwell (we will offer refunds for cancellations) and, if you start to feel unwell during the walk, please let the walk leader know immediately.
Paths may be slippy and uneven in places so please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing.
