About the event

Speaker: Joelene Hughes RSPB Centre for Conservation Science

A disconnection from nature is thought to mean people do not care about its loss and are unlikely to act to prevent it. Connecting people to nature is considered crucial for conservation success, but what is a "connection to nature", how is it developed and can it influence pro-conservation behaviours? This talk will take a look at the latest research on connection to nature and focusses on the challenges and opportunities it presents in a UK context.
