Wildlife Training Workshop: Introduction to Stoneworts with Chris Carter and Nathalie Hueber
About the event
Stoneworts are a group of large algae studied and recorded by mainstream botanists. They are fascinating in their own right with unique structural and reproductive characteristics, but are also valuable indicators of water quality.
The workshop will provide an introduction to the group with illustrated talks, keys and a selection of live and preserved material. Collection and examination methods will be demonstrated during a short field excursion.
