What we do

The Trust aims to protect and restore the natural environment in our three counties and enable people to learn about it and enjoy it.
Sir Graham Fry
Chairman of the Wildlife Trust for BCN

We are a local wildlife charity supported by over 1000 volunteers and over 34,000 members. Together we restore, protect and fight for wildlife and wild places across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire.

We are one of 46 similar Wildlife Trusts covering the UK which are affiliated to the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. We manage over 100 nature reserves, and 9 Living Landscapes.

Cambridgeshire is home to the first ever nature reserve - Woodwalton Fen - created in a visionary act by Charles Rothschild in 1910. Learn more about our history here.
