About the event

Join us for one of our popular evening bat walks around Summer Leys to learn more about these amazing animals and how to use a bat detector (provided) to listen to the bat's echolocation calls and identify the species present.

Please bring a torch as the reserve and car park will be very dark towards the end. We will be walking around the full loop of the reserve, which is approx 2 miles in total.

This event is suitable for ages 7 years+. For safety purposes, a maximum of 2 children (under the age of 12) can accompany one adult. We are also running a Family Bat Walk on Wednesday 26th August which is better suited to children.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
