Luton's Chalk Hills and River Lea - Film Night
St Georges Square, Luton, LU1 2NG
Event details
About the event
Join the Wildlife Trust BCN for a special film night at Luton Library Theatre, featuring two locally made short films by Abi Spendlove and Greta Zabulyte celebrating Luton's River Lea and iconic Chalk Hills.
These films aim to raise awareness of the rare, beautiful and often overlooked natural habitats in and around Luton. They bring together inspiring digital storytelling with the voices of local people and experts who care deeply about these landscapes.
This evening also serves as a tribute to Dr Trevor Tween, who appears in both films. We will take a moment to honour and celebrate his life, passion, and long-standing contribution to ecology and the protection of Luton's plentiful green spaces.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of the National Lottery Fund, Luton Borough Council, Chilterns National Landscape and others who made these films possible.
