About the event

Looking for a half-term adventure? Come and explore Hay Wood with us for a morning of bushcraft fun, campfire treats and autumn magic!

This session is designed for children aged 5–11 and their parents/guardians. Together, you’ll discover exciting hands-on activities, including:

  • Fire lighting
  • Den building & simple knots
  • Woodland crafts

To end the morning, we will toast marshmallows over the campfire and sip a warming hot chocolate, surrounded by the colours of autumn.

What to bring?

To make the most of your woodland adventure, please:

  • Wear outdoor clothing you don’t mind getting muddy.
  • Bring sturdy shoes or wellies.
  • Pack a waterproof layer and an extra jumper to stay warm and dry.

Meeting point

We’ll meet outside the main entrance of Inspire: Luton Sports Village before walking together (just 5 minutes across the sports field) into Hay Wood.
