About the event

The Wildlife Trust BCN is delighted to welcome Joel Ashton for an informative and interesting evening about gardening whilst “working with nature, for nature.” Whether you have a tiny urban front garden, a large rural paddock or perhaps a community green space, Joel is the man to help and inspire you.

There will be time for a Q&A after the presentation.

About the author:

Joel Ashton, author of the popular book 'Wild Your Garden', is a proud ambassador for both Butterfly Conservation and the British Dragonfly Society. He regularly gives talks and workshops, enabling others to play their part in the re-wilding of their own back gardens and for larger companies to do the same with their grounds, encouraging the successful return of wildlife to these areas.

Since starting his business Hazelwood Landscapes in 2005, Joel has gained a wealth of experience through consultations, designing and implementing wildlife gardens, ponds, meadows and hard landscaping projects.

Joel is passionate about gardening for butterflies in particular, transforming his own back garden into a haven for all wildlife. Having two young children, Joel is also keen to encourage, educate and inspire the next generation of wildlife enthusiasts.

Whatever the job, “working with nature, for nature” is the priority.
