The Trust aims to protect and restore the natural environment in our three counties and enable people to learn about it and enjoy it.

We are a local wildlife charity supported by over 1000 volunteers and over 34,000 members. Together we restore, protect and fight for wildlife and wild places across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire. Find out more about us.

What we do

We manage over 100 nature reserves

These include some of Britain's rarest habitats such as ancient woodlands, wild fen, heathland, wetland and wildflower meadows.

What we do

We provide Wild Experiences

For people of all ages and backgrounds we provide wild experiences, including events, training workshops and schools programmes.

We create Living Landscapes

By creating Living Landscapes we are connecting these sites together in a large natural network that helps wildlife move more freely.

We research and monitor the health of nature

Using the latest technology such as aerial drones, LIDAR, GPS and mapping software, as well as identification and recording.

What we do

We advise and support landowners

We work beyond the boundaries of our nature reserves by advising landowners who own and manage important sites for wildlife

We defend local wildlife

Through our engagement with the planning system, with local MPs and the with other Wildlife Trusts, campaign on issues affecting wildlife.
