Position details

Commitment:

Any Day

Frequency:

Monthly

Volunteers work independently. They are asked to walk a patch of the reserve on a regular basis and:

  • Report back any problems such as fallen trees or vandalism, with a detailed description, photographs and exact location
  • Pick up litter
  • Keep paths open by cutting back over-growing vegetation in areas highlighted by staff
  • Report any interesting wildlife to the local records centre

Volunteers also serve as a connection between the local community and the Trust, however they are able. This might be, for example, by promoting events, encouraging sustainable use of the reserve, or helping communication with a school or community group.

Equality and Diversity: We value diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
