Watch volunteers run our monthly wildlife youth groups across the county. In small teams they plan and deliver sessions, promote the activities locally, and undertake administrative tasks such as recording attendance and dealing with money

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a team to support the running of the Summer Leys Wildlife Watch group. This is a monthly group for children aged around 8-11, and their families, who are interested in wildlife. It is run by volunteers, and supported by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. There are similar groups across the three counties.

The kind of activities the group undertake are:

  • Pond dipping
  • Practical habitat management like scrub clearance using tools
  • Bat walks
