Become a Wildlife Guardian

The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. Across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, urban development and climate change have all had an impact on our own landscape in the last century.

For over 60 years the Wildlife Trust BCN has worked tirelessly to create a wilder future in which nature can recover and people can thrive.  We have the skills and experience to bring wildlife back. By joining as a Wildlife Guardian, you can help achieve a wilder future.

I raised my membership to the Guardian level as the Trust protects and invests substantially in the future environment in our three counties. My generation has spent so much of our reserves and accumulated such large national debts that we need to support the future. I admire the way the Trust is managed and its achievements.

“Being a Wildlife Guardian has given me the enormous satisfaction of knowing that along with others I can make a difference”

Wildlife Guardians is an exclusive group for people who can make a bigger commitment to supporting the wildlife of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.

As a Wildlife Guardian you have the opportunity to enjoy a close and special relationship with the Wildlife Trust BCN, meeting the people involved in conservation delivery, and getting behind the scenes glimpses at some of our most vital work. You will learn first hand how your support is helping nature thrive.

Your support, will help us continue to:

  • Ensure our three counties have a working landscape that has nature at its heart, where both people and wildlife can thrive.
  • Use our specialist knowledge to create a nature recovery network across our three counties, including managing and restoring our nature reserves for a diverse range of wildlife.
  • Act as a catalyst and inspiration for local communities and organisations to work together in achieving this vision for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
  • Stand up for nature in local policy and planning decisions, and working nationally with The Wildlife Trust movement.
  • Involve people of all ages and backgrounds in our work inspiring them to value nature and improving their health and wellbeing
