Close encounters of the 360° kind

As the Wildlife Trusts across Great Britain join hands to connect nature reserves together, a ‘joined up’ landscape vital for wildlife emerges. These Living Landscapes create space for all living, growing life forms to thrive, for a healthy environment and providing places to explore and enjoy.

Landscape photographer Mike McFarlane has completed an epic tour of all 47 Wildlife Trusts, cycling 5,903 miles on a folding bike with trailer. He has captured a stunning collection of panoramic, 360° photographs and created interactive virtual tours of 92 Living Landscape schemes which can all be seen on the national Wildlife Trusts' website. Four of them are in our area and you can immerse yourself in them below.
