We’ve partnered with Octopus Legacy (formerly Guardian Angel) and Co-op Legal Services to offer our members the chance to create a simple will, a mirror will or to update an existing will.

Octopus Legacy

Octopus Legacy offer free wills online or over the phone.

Their online will service is safe, secure, jargon-free and fully endorsed by legal professionals, and can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Friendly and compassionate, the Octopus Legacy team is on hand to answer any questions you may have either on the telephone, through live chat or by email. Your Will is certified by a legal professional, and if they have any questions they will contact you directly.

Co-op Legal Services

Co-op Legal Services are offering a 20% discount on all Wills to members of any Wildlife Trust.

Terms and conditions

You must be a current member of the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. The service is subject to a maximum fee limit, please check with the solicitor. The Wildlife Trust BCN would be honoured if members using our free and discounted Will service give a gift in their Will to the Trust. However, there is no obligation to do so.

How does the scheme work?

Ioan F Thomas (1928-2019)

Ioan Thomas, one of our Vice-presidents, was Hon. Secretary of Northants Naturalists’ Trust for 17 years, a trustee of the three-county Trust from 1994 to 1997 and Hon. Secretary from 1995 to 1997. Ioan had been involved with the Wildlife Trust in Northamptonshire since its foundation in 1963.

He was a renowned and much-loved biology teacher at Oundle School as well as a first-rate field botanist with a particular interest was in black hairstreak butterflies.
